We spend each winter glued to the weather reports, waiting for snow storms to blanket the locations we have scouted. When conditions are right we race up to the location and snowshoe in, pulling sleds filled with gear, to get these pictures. The cold winter dawn and dusk skies are, at times, magical, sometimes crystal clear, sometimes filled with snow flakes. Often, our fingers become so numb it is difficult to feel the shutter button on our cameras. The prime photo window of opportunity lasts only labout 30 minutes. Afterwards we pack everything onto the sleds and snowshoe back out, using our headlamps to find the way. Most of these Christmas tree photos are represented by Gettyimages under our Werran/Ochsner name.We have provided a direct link to our images w/gettyimages through the "prices & details" button in lower right corner of the menu, for each image.
